CB Samuel
CB has been called to build leaders who blend spirituality and scholarship in passionate engagement in wholistic mission. He is called to do so through teaching the Word of God.
From 1986-2001 CB was the General Director of the Evangelical Relief agency in India - Evangelical Fellowship of India’s Commission on Relief (EFICOR). He also served as a Pastor from 1978-82 in an inter denominational congregation in Delhi, India.
Since 2001 CB has been an itinerant Bible teacher, primarily involved with Christian Faith Based wholistic mission groups in India. In this time he has also been involved with Emmanuel Hospital Association in India as Minister at Large. In this role he was particularly involved in the nurturing and mentoring of senior leaders and building capacity of pastors of Church of Nazarene in congregation based wholistic mission.
He is currently the Chairman of Prabhaav, a Network of Indian Evangelicals in Social Concerns and is on the teaching staff of Oxford Centre for Mission Studies, Oxford. He has his Bachelors in Science (Mathematics) and Bachelors of Divinity.
C B & his wife, Selina, live in New Delhi, India. Selina is involved with CB in the ministry of encouraging younger leaders in their spiritual nurture and she is also a free lance writer. Sandeep (27), their eldest son, is studying Pastoral Counselling. Kavita (23) their daughter works among children with a Christian faith based organization in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, India; and Malathi (22) their youngest daughter is involved in a community development programme with a local church.
