Roweena F. Mendoza
Roweena is the Executive Director of the Wholistic Transformation Resource Center (WTRC), an organization that seeks to equip Transformational Microenterprise Development (TMED) Practitioners in order to strengthen the local church and build the Kingdom. She is a lawyer by training, has 10 years of experience and exposure in both microfinance and TMED and 10 years experience and exposure in board development and more than 15 years experience in Management and Development.
Roweena actively practiced corporate and litigation law for 6 years before shifting careers to focus on ministry related matters, specifically Christian microfinance. Her first 6 years in the industry was as Legal Counsel of TSPI Development Corporation, one of the biggest Christian microfinance organizations in the Philippines. In the course of her work with TSPI she also handled Staff Transformation, Human Resource Development and acted as Assistant Corporate Secretary to the Board of Directors. Roweena has been consultant to the European Union, USAID and World Bank in microfinance related projects in the Philippines. She has been working with David Bussau since 1998 involved in publications, research, technical consultancies, running workshops and conferences and establishing networks and partnerships.
Recently Roweena participated in facilitating and moderating the Business As Mission Issue Group at the 3rd Lausanne Forum. She continues to coordinate the resource and networking needs of various churches, mission organizations and Christian development organizations interested in TMED.
Roweena is based in the Philippines and is married to Joey with whom she has 2 children, Anton (15) and Sella (12). |
