Dr. Lorisa "Corrie" Acorda- De Boer
Corrie DeBoer, Regent Emerita, holds a B.S. in Social Work from Phillipine Women’s University, an MDiv from Asian Theological Seminary, an MS in Social Development from Ateneo De Manila University, a PhD in Organizational Development from Southeast Asia Interdisciplinary Development Institute and a DMin in the Renewal of the Church for Mission from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, where she was an RJB Scholar.
As Executive Director for Mission Ministries Philippines (1986-1999) she enabled the establishment of over 350 preschools in the Philippines, established a city network of thirty mission organizations ministering among the poor, facilitated the establishment of the Center for Early Childhood Care and Development, a government-accredited training center for preschool teachers.
From 1998 to 2000 Corrie was the facilitator for the Network for Theological Education. During that time she provided an environment for Catholic, Concilliar and Evangelical leaders of seminaries to dialogue and initiate common ventures in theological education. Currently Corrie is Assistant Professor, Asian Theological Seminary, Manila, Philippines, and Director of Mission Ministries.
